One of the best things about owning a stable is the lifetime parade of horses, all the breeds, colors and markings. (The horses say one of the best things about us is the annual pasture rotation!) This Mustang foursome flashed their colorful derrieres the other day. Late-season rains turned the field, which we cut for hay, lush again. It would have been a perfect painting. Notice the old dead pine off to the left. Let your eye travel (scroll to the next photos) and you’ll see another friend enjoying the view. (To avoid laminitis, be sure to work your horse up gradually to time on grass. For easy keepers or insulin resistant horses, limit time on grass and consider using a grazing muzzle.)
