Duluth Women’s Flexpedition Lined Straight Leg Pants – Review

I breathed a sigh of contentment when I put on my first pair of these pants, but after a day of wearing them around the barn, reality hit. The inner fabric is comfy, but they are an inch larger in the waist and hips compared to other Duluth Women’s pants I’ve ordered, and they kept stretching bigger and bigger and pulling my (Duluth) underwear down. I compared the back horizontal seam to my Wrangler jeans and discovered why my underwear kept coming down. Comparatively speaking, the Duluth back seam runs much lower than the Wrangler seam, making a nice hook for your underwear as the pants ride down. I added a belt so that they stayed on, but the belt loops are very long and stretchy. With the belt, the pants started binding in weird places. That’s when I noticed how long waisted these pants are. I washed them twice hoping they would shrink, which they did until I wore them for a while and the never-ending stretching out began again. I have since worn the other pair I ordered while walking behind my snowblower for a day. I washed both pairs again and tortured them in the dryer hoping for true shrinkage. No luck. The selfies of these pants on me revealed what they really look like. Notice the gaping zipper, even with the belt.
