Pretty proud of our snow work today. All upper lanes, parking areas done! If you ever decide to go into horse boarding in Colorado, make sure you get a good tractor and, among other things, snow equipment. Many thanks to Gregg Doster on his Massey-Ferguson 4707 with its PTO-driven snow blower. Yours truly was on the Massey-Ferguson 1740E with the snow blade. Thanks to Nate at Ron’s Equipment for all his advice over the years on equipment purchases. Plowed out, clients were able to enjoy their horses… loving it!
I almost wiped out at this spot learning to drive an old, old tractor in the snow. That tractor was only 2-wheel drive. I reached the gate grade and just kept sliding downhill toward the pond. I slammed the bucket down on the gate, and smashed it, but did stop myself. 4WD = totally worth it.
